Good Night For The Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs claimed their 9th consecutive AFC West championship on December 8, 2024 after a thrilling 19-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri. Matthew Wright narrowly doink a last second field goal off the left goal post and in to win in the final second of the game.  "Our first goal every single year is to win the AFC West, and it's a great division,'' quarterback Patrick Mahomes said.

Wash House football WR/DB Xavyer Powell has been selected as the Kansas City Star Athlete of the Week for Week 3 of the 2023 season.  He received this honor after posting 195 combined rushing and receiving yards along with 2 touchdowns in a historic win over Bonner who they hadn’t beaten since 2000 which also led to their first 3-0 start since 2005.  Click this link to ➡️Athlete of the Week⬅️ to read about this great accomplishment.

Wildcats Have Done It Again

On September 11, 2021, Washington High School Junior Varsity Volleyball team competed in the tournament at Topeka Highland Park. There were 7 teams that came to the competition and they competed against 3 teams. They conquered several different circumstances to finish third. “I’m so proud of my team and I feel so great,” said Hning Thang, a player from the Junior Varsity team.
